OMS invites applications from dynamic and experienced professionals for the position of Shift Engineer at its Cogeneration (Co-Gen) Power Plant located in Sadiqabad. The role offers a challenging environment and excellent growth opportunities within a reputed engineering organization.

1. Shift Engineer – Co-Gen Power Plant

Location: Sadiqabad
Department: Plant Operations
Plant Type: Cogeneration (Co-Gen)

Education:

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering

Experience:

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Co-Gen/CCPP systems

  • Strong expertise in STGs, HP Boilers, WTP & BOP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee 24/7 operations of Co-Gen plant to ensure optimum performance

  • Supervise performance of HP Boilers (bagasse-fired), Steam Turbine Generators (STG), and Water Treatment Plants (WTP)

  • Prepare and review performance reports (generation, fuel, steam, etc.)

  • Coordinate plant start-ups, shutdowns, and load changes

  • Lead shift teams (technicians, operators, auxiliaries)

  • Manage LOTO procedures for planned/emergency maintenance

  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance (NOx limits, etc.)

  • Participate in HAZOP reviews, audits, and emergency drills

  • Respond to emergencies like blackouts or tripping turbines

Special Skills & Requirements:

  • Permit to Work (PTW) & LOTO procedures in CCPP

  • Knowledge of Solid Fuel HP Boilers, Steam Turbines, BOP systems

  • Emergency response readiness
